Good question and the topic is really interesting. I just invested in both Bitcoin and Monero, so I can share my opinion. Let’s figure out what might be suitable for short-term and long-term investing in each of these cryptocurrencies. According to https://bravenewcoin.com/insights/what-crypto-is-better-for-long-and-short-term-investing-btc-or-xmr Bitcoin (BTC) is the most famous and popular asset in the crypto market. It has been around since 2009 and has established itself as “digital gold”. In fact, most people and large organizations consider it as a store of value, and its stability, despite price fluctuations, gives confidence to long-term investors. Plus, it has high liquidity, which means that if you want to sell your assets, you can easily find a buyer. For long-term investing, BTC is one of the most proven options. It has a limited supply (only 21 million coins), which makes it more resistant to inflation. And here’s what’s important: Bitcoin is actively used and bought by big players — institutional investors like Tesla, MicroStrategy, and others, which also pushes its price up. In recent years, Bitcoin has gained attention as a hedge against inflation, and many see it as a long-term asset with growth potential. In the long term, Bitcoin is likely to only increase in value. The reason lies not only in its status as the most popular cryptocurrency, but also in the future adoption of digital currencies at the government level.
