Help me figure out research paper – where do I even start?

<p> </p><p>Guys, hi. I’ve run into this problem: I need to write research paper for university, but I don’t understand what kind of work it is or where to start. The teacher gave me some requirements, but it all sounds like a set of incomprehensible terms. What is a research paper anyway? Is it like a regular essay or something more complicated? And how do I choose the right topic? Do I need to write the entire text at once, or is there some kind of plan to follow? Maybe there is a structure that I should stick to? I’ve also heard that there are different types of these papers – is it necessary to know this or not? In short, I’m confused. If anyone has already written something like this, tell me how it went for you.</p>
