Oxygen is essential for the survival of all living organisms, including humans. It plays a critical role in the production of energy in our cells and helps us maintain healthy brain function. When oxygen levels in the body drop, it can lead to serious health problems and even death.

The human body requires a certain level of oxygen to function properly. Typically, the normal range of oxygen saturation in the blood is between 95% to 100%. However, if the oxygen saturation level drops below 90%, it can cause hypoxemia, a condition that results from low oxygen levels in the blood. Hypoxemia can cause shortness of breath, confusion, and even coma in severe cases.

How low can your oxygen level go before you die, the body’s tissues and organs start to shut down, and the brain cannot function properly. This can lead to unconsciousness and eventually, death. The lower the oxygen levels, the faster the onset of symptoms and the higher the risk of fatality.
