Hello everyone! Esports in Bangladesh has started to gain popularity. I myself played CS:GO and Dota 2 for a couple of years, but before, we didn’t have the opportunities we have now. Tournaments, teams, even sponsors are appearing. Do you think this is just a temporary hype or does esports have a future in our country? It is especially interesting to hear how gamers’ parents view this. For example, I still think that games are a waste of time.

Esports in Bangladesh are really on the rise https://www.observerbd.com/news/500909 , and this is no coincidence. Thanks to the availability of the Internet and smartphones, young people have more opportunities to participate in tournaments, even international ones. Teams like Red ViperZ and MercenarieZ are already making a name for themselves in regional arenas. Of course, the infrastructure is still poor, but interest from large companies is growing. For example, several major championships with prize pools were held this year. As for parents, it’s a matter of time. If esports brings in real income and becomes a career, the attitude will change.

You’re right, guys. I’ve noticed how things are changing too. My younger brother is participating in local PUBG Mobile tournaments and has even won small prizes. I would have laughed at this before, but now I understand – this is a real opportunity. The main thing is for young gamers not to forget about balance.
