Equal sharing as ‘division’
In this video Co-relation between equal sharing and division is explained. To convince this fact to students, some sharing situations in which each one’s share is a whole number were put in front of the students. For example, 6 sweets shared among 2 children, how many each one will get?. These situations were the simple division word problems. Students were then asked how did they get each one’s share. They answered as division. Division fact for the sharing situation is also introduced. (4 minutes)
