All active and retired members, including National Guard, reserves, and veterans, will receive a free ticket to Carowinds valid for a single day Friday, May 26 through Monday, May 29, 2023. When military service members are injured in service to our country, their families face many changes. They may have to move closer to medical care or change their comfortable routines. Children must often take a back seat while parents deal with more pressing issues related to medical care, financial strains, and other adult responsibilities. Our Military Kids grants ease the financial strain on parents while giving their children the chance to participate in positive activities that will help them laugh, grow, and feel connected to the community. The push to increase military funding while cutting more heavily elsewhere reflects a divide in the House Republican caucus. It includes a large faction of defense hawks who say the military budget is too small, alongside another large faction of spending hawks who want to significantly shrink the fiscal footprint of the federal government. Jobs within this field involve maintenance, repair, and operation of different types of electronic equipment within the Marine Air Command and Control Systems network. Marines in this specialty support air defense, weaponry, surveillance, radio communication, data monitoring, and air traffic control.
